Rubba Dub Dub Such Good Grub

So again, being a complete Pinterest junkie I am in love with all of the recipes at my fingertips.   Well this little number popped up a while back and I have made it three times since.  It is AMAZING!!  I made a few changes to the original recipe, so below is the recipe I cook to make it a little healthier and hardier:

Slow-Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients:
1lb of Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (about 3)
2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
2 cans (10.5oz) Low Fat Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1.5 can (14oz) Low Sodium Chicken Broth
1 medium White Onion, diced
1 Large sliced carrot
3/4 Bag of Frozen Peas
Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute
Salt
Pepper
4 Large Flaky Refrigerator Biscuits (half a can)
Place thawed chicken in crock pot and top with butter.  Add cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, diced onions, carrot and seasoning. Salt and pepper to your discretion.  Cook on High for 4-6 hours or Low for 8 hours.  Do not stir while cooking.
Cut each uncooked biscuit into 9 small pieces and stir into the chicken mixture and add frozen peas.  Continue to cook on High for 30 minutes.  Remove chicken from slow-cooker and shred with a fork.  Return to slow-cooker and stir everything together.  Serve hot.
Now the key ingredient in almost ALL of my dishes is the most AMAZING secret!  21 Seasoning Salute from Trader Joe’s.  I kid you not, you can put this on EVERYTHING!  It is sodium free and is the only seasoning I use on veggies, fish, chicken and so on.  It looks like this:

The picture below is from the FAb blog I found the recipe on.  Obviously their pic doesn’t include the peas and carrots but it will give you an idea of the deliciousness…. You can see their cute blog here called Polish The Stars!

Happy Friday All!!

About justadashofglitter

Just a crazy blonde that has been blessed with some of the craziest and most amazing people, places and things. Now, by amazing I don't mean expensive I simply mean amazing to me. I hear a lot that hearing about my life/schedule is exhausting to people, I on the other hand, would not know what to do with myself if I had a free minute. I love being busy and I think that is how I ended up with so much on my plate, I wouldn't change a thing. I grew up in Atlanta and did a mini tour of the Southeast, venturing from Atlanta to Auburn to Charleston, SC before planting my fidgety feet in Charlotte, NC to open Revolve, an upscale men's consignment store. I adore the "city life" and I am now only 3 hours from "home" {Atlanta} and from Charleston (my second home). I have always had a love and obsession with photography so after years and years of waiting I just bought my first Nikon D90 {over joyed, jumping up and down and giddiness does not even describe it}. I am involved with the fashion community here because of a love for it and my job, so being able to capture some of the "glitz and glam" has been well worth the wait. The "glitz and glam" to many is fancy cars or sparky jewels but to me it is all of the crazy and wonderfulness around me. It is also the girl or guy next store getting all dolled up to go to an event or have pictures taken of them looking their best. Therefore as I play around with my new toy {camera} I will document some of those as well. So here is some of the craziness in my life
